Hello,

I have this hat here and am unsure of its worth. I believe it is a collaboration between Resistol and Montecristi. I am not a hat expert by any means but was wondering if any of you out there are. The size is 7.5. It's made of 5x beaver.

We don't usually price hats here as there are so many variables to consider (with both modern and vintage hats). You might search the Classifieds for similar hats but, frankly, hat pricing is one area in which Ebay and Etsy can be your friend.

Well. That "Monte" logo is the shop where the hat was originally sold. Let's say it's a '90s silverbelly ish hat - but not for sure. If you can buy a new 6x from the Resistol site, somebody might pay anything really. You could get 40 bucks or 250. Modern or thereabouts westerns are pretty plentiful

The Montecristi logo is the shop where it originally sold. Speaking in broad generalities, If you have a used Resistol western that's maybe '90s or newer, you might get $40 or $250 from a real enthusiastic buyer, since modern ish westerns are fairly common. New resistols of that quality are probably $340 or thereabouts so....I personally dislike the band but someone may love it. It's a well known brand with many fans so there's that.

The X factor for western weight felt in the 1980’s was 5X, 8X, 10X & 20X. Resistol also had their Stagecoach series which was the equivalent of a 2X.
