Western Attire Shops (Shirts, Boots, Belts) around Bardstown & Louisville

Hi there,

I will spend three days in Bardstown and four days in Louisville in December. Most of the time I will be visiting distilleries, but I have also planned a day or two for shopping.

I am looking for shops with genuine Western products - cowboy boots, Western shirts and leather belts. I have googled and found some big ones like Leatherhead, Preslar etc. but I would like to hear the FL expertise Any recommendations within the area is welcome! Obviously I am happy also with vintage, doesn't have to be brand new.

Also what are the brands I should be looking for?

The Boot Store in Nicholasville (Lexington area) is supposed to be the best in Kentucky. There is a Cavender's that opened in Lexington area also.

Back from Kentucky and here are my findings:

Preslar in Louisville was the best one - plenty of boots and hats. Tried some but decided to leave it for now and buy from Texas or Colorado when I visit there next time.

Bought a Scully shirt though and I really like it. Attached a picture.

Went to Leatherhead but it was closed even though I was there during working hours.

Bootbarn was OK, but couldn’t find a boots that I really want to buy.

Other than that I enjoyed Duluth Trading in Louisville, very good selection although not for Western style clothing.
