They have membership pins like 1 yr, 5 yr, 10 yr etc, event participation pins for trail rides, etc.
These 'American Royal' hats turn up for sale every now and then. With the exception of HJ's, the only ones I've seen have been 3X Stetson's ranging from the late 40's to late 60's such as the one I bought off Etsy. HJ's is also the only one I've seen that wasn't adorned with pins. Luckily, mine had only 6. I've seen sale hats adorned with as many as 80. A lot of these hats I've run across also had a sterling and enamel Saddle & Sirloin club pin attached and mine had two.

Another recent purchase is this Bradford Calgary, in black 3X beaver. It’s got what I think of as a “modest” cattleman crown with a front mule-kick, topping out at 4.75”, with a 3.5” brim. It was first purchased from a store in Rawlins, WY, and based on the original price tag of $22.50, I’m estimating it was released in the very early 70s. I thought about lowering the brim a tiny bit, but that would change the entire appearance, and era, of the hat. Think I’ll keep this one just the way it shipped, 50+ years ago.
