I actually had a couple of hats arrive during the move, one of which, despite my having informed USPS, went to the old address; that necessitated an hour-long trip to retrieve if from the new owners.

Still, it was such a terrific bargain off OFAS, that I didn't really mind that much. Late 70s-early 80s 3X OR, black, in exemplary condition. I don't really care much for the aftermarket hatband, but my wife thinks it's quite nice, so I guess that's what'll live on it for now. It's nice to have scratched the "black OR" itch that's been bugging me this last year or so. :)

Bringing the bar WAY down with this one: a Keyston Dynafelt that I've been wearing for cowboy shooting for at LEAST twenty years, according to photos in the computer. Can't remember where I acquired it, but it was pristine when it came into my hands. Literally wore the ribbon off it as the years passed. The beaded hatband only went on within the last year or two. This shot was taken in May of this year.

Miller "The Rancher" hat, probably 1930's to early 40's, along with a Stetson Tom Mix hat box that doesn't belong with it, but belongs with my Tom Mix hat. This Miller was wrongly listed at auction as a Tom Mix, apparently because it was stuck in a Tom Mix box. I tried to buy this hat and box but I stopped when the bidding got to $1700. After auction fees of 25 percent, the new buyer has over $2000 invested in a hat that's not even what they think it is.
