Hell, I almost forgot why I hopped into this thread today.

I am SO predictable. First week consistently in the 50s, and I’ve bought a new straw hat. This one’s a Bailey Costa, with a 4 & 3/8” Cattleman’s crown, and a 4” “Medium Tail Wind” brim. A pretty nice shape and size for me, and for a very reasonable price. Color me pleased.

Weather Hat Co. 100% beaver felt, custom ordered 30 years ago, restyled my me.
I was told that this hat would be waterproof for 2 solid days of rain when I ordered it.
I have worn it for one day of continuous heavy rain, it was indeed waterproof, but the rest of me was not. :>)

One from the Colorado Mountain Hat Company, that I believe I acquired from a vendor at the 5 Dogs State Championship Match in 2005.

Here is me in one of my Open Roads. Don’t really smoke a pipe. Just used it to pose for the pic. I have another more vintage one. It’s the 4X beaver felt. This one is the newer 6X one. Not sure if it has any beaver in it. This one looks ok from the side like this but straight on the crown is way too narrow and looks weird so I hardly every wear it.

Here is my favorite western hat. It is made by Bailey and it only wool felt but it is super nice. It has a Gus style crown with a pencil roll brim.

This is my “real” Stetson. A Stetson Range with a 3” brim. For me a real Stetson has this liner in it. This one has a few stains on it

Another one I picked up from a used-goods vendor at 5 Dogs, around 2006, I think. A big-brimmed Montana Peak from Bronco Sue, for way less than a new one would have cost me.
