Love the hat, Terry. The weather looks pretty nice too.10X Thoroughbred refurb from a couple of Winters ago.
Thank you buddy! The thing about Ohio is that we get extremes of all kinds of weather. In the Winter we wish for Summer. In the Summer we wish for Winter. March weather can get really crazy here. Cold and snowing in the morning then turning hot and sunny later that same day.Love the hat, Terry. The weather looks pretty nice too.
Hat envy!!!!View attachment 257478 When I met up with Mike Moore in Ft Worth a few years ago - Rusty and Rocky were there too and we had some Lone Star beer at their trade show spot. Good times!
My hat is one Mike made for me sometime earlier.

Those hats remind me of the hats you see on Red Dead Redemption 2. Anyone play that game? I'm not a gamer but I do play some games once in a blue moon and I finally got rdr2 just because I've heard so much about it. Never played the first one.
The first thing I did when I got to town was browse the catalog for hats at the general store. I was impressed by the detailed reading in the catalog talking about the felt hats being made of pure nutria fur. This is a video game remember, most people dont even know what a nutria is. Rockstar did their research!
I've been addicted to that game for the last week now. It's almost more of an old west simulator than a game. It's like a really long western movie that you get to be a part of. The attention to detail is crazy. It doesn't rush you through like most games do. It's slow paced on purpose. Just like a good western should be.
Love that game, one of the best I've ever played. The catalogue is such a great way to utilize game mechanics in a historically accurate context. My character got the campaign hat that I, ahem, borrowed, from one of the Army officers. Some of the hat selections strike me as a bit weird, like the leather ones.
I played RDR2 for a bit. Mostly multiplayer. I found it a bit boring after a while. I find it hard to game when not playing with friends, so I haven't gotten too far on single player. I think the game has a very good concept, and like you said, historically accurate. I just find it to be underutilized when it comes to it's potential. I've been away from the game for some time, but I was left wishing that Rockstar had put as much effort into the game as they did with Grand Theft Auto. To your point, the hats are very well done. That eventually became my favorite reason for playing the game. Those hats remind me of the hats you see on Red Dead Redemption 2. Anyone play that game?
