My first proper “western” has arrived. This Stetson 3X was a steal on eBay at 20 bucks and it is just the tiniest bit too small, but wow, what a beauty!

I was thinking about your situation the other day. Don’t you have anybody in the U.S. willing to forward eBay purchases to you from sellers who won’t ship internationally? I’d offer my services to you but I’m never in one place long enough - my mother has to forward hats to me in Asia.

J. R.'s is an unusual place and sometimes just weird. I think some of their stock has been there since they opened. I prefer http://www.cowboykicks.com/. It's Preston's Western Wear on 72.

I had but he vanished. I could get another person but the hassle with Portuguese customs sluggish service makes me thing 3 or 4 times. There are no offers and if they think an item is worth $100 and you appear with a $10 invoice, they refuse to accept it.

WOW!! Amazing!! That top one must be worth $10k if not priceless. Indian bead work always mesmerized me as a kid and that was just cheapo kid belts. Thanks for sharing such art.

Tom Hirt made many hats for Sam Elliot. He told me that the shape of his head caused the dip of his brim.

Smitty, of Colorado Mountain Hat Co, has done some western movie hats also. Most notably Robert Duvall, in Lonesome Dove. Can't remember others off hand.
