Joao , Where or How do you find these Great hats ? This may not be Cool here , but I feel normal in Hats , but Better in Westerns , More Normal . I get a little self conscious in short Brim Hats , like its not me . But I guess you have to get used to it , and its more of what you're comfortable in . To some its high Crowns that seem odd , I like high Crowns , its opposite , and wider Brims .

Just another Stagecoach

My Order from EA , said scheduled to ship 6-9 days , Shipped Day 6 , The Woomera is on its Way ! Still waiting on 2 Customs from Gannon , 6" Crowns , 2 3/4" Brims , but I think if I order another I may go with a 3" Brim , but I'll see how the others work out first . Still wanting to go to Buckaroo Hatters , and see what they can do . It maybe a while , but a copy of a Stetson San An is kind of in my mind . Looking at straws , too . It'll be Hot soon . My last got stomped , I could use a replacement . Only straw left is an old yard Panama Straw from LLBean , been trying to get it straightened up , still trying , but it's nothing special .

Love the Stage Coaches ! What's your Favorite ? The Tom Mix ?

Joao , Love the Peak ! I play sometimes to see what the Hat can handle , and I prefer . Here's a Chart ...

hat_creases-3.jpg

I'm a Peak Fan , but I do them in my way (but more like the Chart version looks) . The Bushman really needs more crown to do it right (I Posted it before somewhere) , but I may try something else on it . You have a lot of options with Tall Crowns .

Still waiting on my Akubra Woomera , thought it would make it today .
Happy Trails !

Yes big crowns allow a lot of options. Some may not work well but definitively more options than the lower crowns.
I have another hat with a peak but I don't wear it... 3" brim old moth eaten trooper hat.

Thanks, guys - Joao, I the VS hat is a little stingy brimmed for your taste.

Stetson - here are the basic numbers:

VS: 3 inch brim (+ a bit more for the curl), 6 inch open crown. This hat is based on a '20's Stetson Boss Raw Edge.

Green BSHW: 3 3/4 inch brim, just under 6 inch open crown, gus crease.

Natural BSHW: just under 4 inch brim, just under 6 inch open crown, cattleman crease.

The Woomera has every piece of foam I have in the sweat , or it'd be over my ears . I like the Brim Roll , but this guy is Really Pulled Down Front and Back . Too much for the kid , but I'm like Lt.hats , I don't mine the Open Crown Hoss look . Never know , I may keep it . We'll see .

Not really like you hopped for?

I Really Love It , just needs to do the shrinking thing . That Crown has endless possibilities , I may or may not adjust the dip . It looks like a Bull Rider's Hat from ... Way Back . But if I had taken the job Hauling Cattle in Northern AU (Queensland , I think ) in the late 80s , I'm sure I would have cooked through a few of these Bad Boys by now .
