Thanks BB, it's a joy to wear. I wish Kevin was still alive & in that original Durango shop making hats. I'll buy all the pre-1990 hats of his I can find.If I just look at that hat w/o knowing the brand, I always think vintage 3x6 No.1, Nutria Quality or something along those lines. I don’t get that from many customs. Fine hat.
Nice job!Resistol Stagecoach. I flanged the brim flat using my band block that I shaped to an egg oval so it fits my head shape better. Gave the brim a kettle curl. Reshaped the crown without blocking it. Kept the original sweatband since it's in good shape. I made the leather hatband, I wanted to weather the leather just a tiny bit to make it look less fresh so I soaked it in coffee, let it dry and soaked it in cold water to leach out anything that might bleed when it gets rained on. I've made several of these bands over the years, I like the look quite a bit and they're pretty simple/easy to make.

Great looking set up on this W-W, Jack. The crease really pairs well with that curled brim.Worth - Walden 15X, 3-1/8 X 6 with 4-corner crease & 5-cord ribbon.

And that #1Q from yesterday is sublime.
My most well-loved hat.
