I’ve seen Wacos with a knotted two cord ribbon. Resistol was very inconsistent it appears.
Thanks for that, Rick. It is something I wondered about. But with a missing tag, & because of my position on the Open Road nomenclature I'll refrain from calling it a Waco; maybe jokingly from time to time I'll call it a NWACO.I’ve seen Wacos with a knotted two cord ribbon. Resistol was very inconsistent it appears.

Thank you so much Brent. Always awesome when you find 60 plus year old “new” hats. I’ll keep this as one of my new favorites a long time. That’s one of the most gorgeous “new” hats I’ve seen in a long time. Great find!
You rock that hat! The hemi, and Hank also rockMy Kevin McAndrew refurb on top today while I ran a few chores in the Ram.
I love the sound of a Hemi...
And you can't go wrong with Hank...

Two part harmony is always good!Thank you, buddy!
I don't know which I like best, Hank's singing or the sound of a Hemi!

A great hat in a great post, Ross!Celebrating 36 with Tom Mix.
I had purchased this No. 1 recently and noticed it looked very similar to the wider ribbon sported by Tom Mix in the serial, ‘The Miracle Rider’. Once I started doing some additional research, I was delighted to learn this last of his films, a rare ‘talkie’ for him, was filmed on Iverson Movie Ranch. Right near the ranch, is a public access climbing area called, Garden of the Gods, and has a boulder dubbed Tom Mix rock. A re-enactment was in order...

This spot is only 15 minutes from my place, and I had no idea it existed until I bothered to poke around a little.

The picture above with trash can mural is in Newhall, Santa Clarita. He also recognized on the cowboy walk of fame but it’s not too exciting and I used up the 10 pic max anyhow. Hope y’all enjoy the rest of the weekend!
