The blocking is perfect for that crease BB. The pic on the bench shows it all!

Such a great hat! I like the crosshatch pattern in the Fray sweat. Were there many variances or patterns among Fray sweats?Stetson 1X Nutria c.1910-1920. 1X provided a lot of hat back in the day.

Mine is in good shape too but I've only seen them with this texture.Thanks... it's one of my go to favorites. I have other Fray stamped sweatbands that are not embossed and have a softer hand. This style is remarkable for its ability to wear like iron. The ones I have owned are more than 100 years old and they appear to be ready for another 100 years without breaking a sweat.
That is one pristine looking OR, Cuz. I'm a little envious of that one. Excellent boots as well.RD OR and a favorite pair of boots made by Bob Wilson. Mr. Wilson was fairly unique in that he put himself through trade school for three different disciplines. He went to the Boot and Saddle making school at Okmulgee, OK; the last of its kind and no more, farrier school and barber school. These boots have the phone number to his Wyoming barber shop in them where he was still working in his 70’s when he fell ill. Sadly, Mr. Wilson died about two years ago.

Those boots are beautiful! The color and the toe bugs look so good. Boots made by an artist of that level are a real treat to see.RD OR and a favorite pair of boots made by Bob Wilson. Greg, that’s got to be my favorite hat of yours. It’s so unique. And those boots are spectacular, I wish I could wear em.RD OR and a favorite pair of boots made by Bob Wilson. Thanks, Cuz. I got lucky on this one and finding any vintage OR outside the SB color takes a good bit of it. We’re the same size. It’s yours to wear anytime.
Thank you, Ed. Means a lot coming from a man with a genuine appreciation for fine boots. Honestly, I first nicknamed the toe bugs ‘Lobstrosities’ after the creatures in Stephen King’s Dark Tower series but they’ve grown on me over the years and these boots get a lot of wear as favorites.
Thank you, Alan, it’s a favorite of mine as well and a reminder they’re are some unique vintage colors to be found. I’m glad you like the boots but as to wearing them; outside of fit, not certain why you couldn’t wear them.
