That's a great one, B. Plenty of crown and brim to do some things with. I seldom get much of an urge to wear a classic fedora anymore. In fact I've sold most of mine and it's Been a long time since I gave a s**t. Rockin the rays today, I see. How do they wear?
Thank you Greg. I’d like to sell most of mine too. I still love them but, damn, after awhile they just kinda get eerie looking at me. Plus NO idea where to start!
The Rays...Battle axe hide!!
But not uncomfortable. Still fairly stiff but getting looser. I do love the look thought.
I find boots like hats...gotta get wear time...hard to do when past a certain number. Such the waah!

Wonder what size those boots are?

Anybody ever get bored s***less with fedoras or is it just me? Sometimes i look at mine and just don’t get the urge or need to wear them.
Big Westerns i don’t do much thinking i’ll look stupid not being a real cowboy.
So...in the spirit of “i don’t give a s**t what others think” that i tell myself, i been giving this one alot of thought.
If i ever want to wear it i have to crease it because i don’t do big open crowns.
This one never had a crease as claimed by seller and i can’t dispute.
It got one today for a bit, so here it is.

Great hat! Any thoughts on the build quality? I've been tempted by a few Hornskov hats.

It is constructed really well, and the sewing and sweatband seem well done. I can’t speak to their ribbon work since this just has a leather belt band. The feather and little hornskov metal coin type logo are really nice and tasteful details.

It seems a little big for a size 57, and I’m a little under 57, so I have to pad it a bit for now. Not a huge issue.

The felt (50% beaver, presumably hare for the other half of the content), has a super nice hand, and the open sugarloaf crown has just about the perfect stiffness. The pencil/kettle curl is very well executed.

My only criticism is that there are some very subtle areas where the pouncing or ironing seem to have blotched a little, and from what I can ascertain, it seems like probably it was an early work that may have been sitting around the shop for awhile— a perfect candidate for their moving sale, and worth every penny of the sale price!

Thanks for the feedback! I've had my eye on the sale section as well. Congrats again on the new lid, I really like it!
