That's a real looker, Bob!
Thanks Terry! BTW ... I think your Thoroughbred conversion looks great on you. Nice work once again.

Only that I think it's a cool modern take on the western hat and I've talked myself down from the ledge twice (like, I went as far as "add to cart") on the black one. I suspect the felt would be firmer than their average dress weights, but royal deluxe is the same grade as the premier strats.

I've been checking it out too. The crown does look med. height. A couple of dents in front will turn it into a Tombstone Doc Holiday hat.I’ve been hoping that someone would buy one and post photos here so I could see it in the wild. I do wish the crown was taller.

BB I have forgotten, what are the brim & crown measurements on this black beauty?
Wow, that is nice Alan.A simple hat for today, interesting in its look back to an older era. This is an early 20th century western hat of modest dimensions (depth 6 1/4", brim 3", 2 1/2" curled) and modest price that came to me in very fine condition. No idea what techniques were used in the The Fray sweatband, but each example I have owned has a good century of life left in it. This hat is a 6 7/8. I don't wear it very often, but with a little careful coaxing, I've found it comfortable for a week after a close haircut.
I like it Brent. Nice job.Resistol Riata 4X
