Thanks Jack -- it's 1-5/8" wide. It was originally a ribbon and I asked her to mount it on leather for a headband. She did it overnight...

Jack, it looks similar to what I've seen called a "centerfire" but I've never seen one with the raised areas on each side.

Thanks BB. It would take some very thin felt to accomplish that I would think. With the four "compartments" maybe it should be called the candy dish or something.

I've seen a similar shaped referred to as a "rookie" this one seems to have cutter bumps on the center crease.

I think this pic was from an ad in some sort of fashion magazine. I kept it for several yrs trying to find a hat with enough crown & brim to replicate it before I learned of the Woomera here on FL. Maybe I'll use the Stetson ad as inspiration with another Woomera.

How tall did you make the crown? Great bash by the way. Truly one of a kind.

Tough to beat a Woomera . They come 6.75" Open Crown , and Tall enough for any Crease you want . They're Sweet Hats , and the price is nice .

Johnny, from memory I think I used up almost an inch, from 6.7" open crown to 5.75" creased. At 4.01" the brim just needed to be flattened & I left a bit of a curl & a slight swoop in the front. I like wearing it.
