Is it quality, authenticity, or both that troubles you about the Wested A2? And, please, give some detail. Please.
Thank you for the wested A2 info. I think im heading towards Aero in the new year.Raymundo said:I think the fact that no one seems to know anyone who owns a Wested A-2 or has pictures of one says it all. They make jackets for movies in the costume catagory (nice looking but not long lasting). For movie making, that works fine. IMO, there are many A-2 reproduction manufacturers that make a better jacket at a better price that will last longer since they specialize in flight jackets.

I live in the northwest,so wested are to far for me to visit. Maybe i will just wait until i have enough cash for aero or eastman.Already own a us wings A2, So im in no hurry. Thanks pal.Kt Templar said:Richard, where in England are you?
It might be worth visit to Wested if you are in the southeast.
The Wested A2 is what £150?. And you can have it in lamb, goat or horse. The goat and horse will last you plenty.
Aero etc are great and they do specialise, but you have to have deep pockets to start with, they will cost you twice as much. But it seems they may be worth saving up for.
I would disagree that all Wested jackets are "merely" costume pieces, that is definately not the case.
BTW Michelsons daughter has a Wested "Aliens" A2.
