Where'd your dad work? Before the war and when he was still a teenager, my dad worked for W.E. down in Tribeca and was sent out to man their exhibition at the 1939 World's Fair in Flushing. He always spoke of it very fondly.

My Dad worked for WECO from the time he got out of the Army in 1954, so he'd have been 25, until he retired in 1985. Started out in the Van Nuys, CA. I have a picture of the entire office staff rolling around somewhere, just not digitally. It's weird to look at a photo like that and realize that at lest 70% of them are no longer around. Kind of weird feeling. Also, right now I'm sitting on an old wooden WECO chair from that very office. And that's pretty cool feeling.
