I've noticed from photos and films, 1920s trousers are noticeably lower waisted than 1930s-1940s trousers.

That fisher stripe. I have found a few things over the years, none of which fit. Good find

One of those rustic European grey-striped work pants. Here German, certainly 30's (straight wide legs).
No belt-loops, side/back straps or buttons for suspenders, but this curious front-buckle construction with snap-button to attach it to the button-fly. Ever seen one like this?
