Recently picked up this vintage Vanson CHP odd variation with chrome hardware all around and no also gun pocket in the inside facing. Hence the no serial number as well. Main zip is a double marked Talon #10 and sleeve zips are some odd " 7 / L" zip. Any ideas from the lounge on when this is from and why no serial? No signs of zip replacement or re-line holes so this is original.

Open the jacket up and take some pictures. There is probably a tag inside somewhere.

When in doubt, call Kim at Vanson, she’s very helpful.

That jacket looks like it was a piece of custom work. Vanson offered a CHP with chrome hardware called the “Bandit”. You can see it pictured in their iconic 2000 catalog. It did not have belt loops or a fur collar though.

This has one of their newer labels. I don’t think it’s that old.

You need to post more pictures if you want more help.

Will do tomorrow as it just arrived today. Also shot an email to Kim at Vanson w this pic as I was conveniently already chatting with her about the last detail on my custom chopper remake. It has the newer tag but having a Talon main zip and these funky sleeve zips is whats throwing me for a loop.

Updated photos. Fully re-condtioned with some pecards. Though it might soak up more? Still no idea on when this is from as I can find no tags anywhere or serial #

Thanks. Interesting model none the less. If only I could find the matching real fur collar for this one. Perfect casual wear style as this one appears to be out of vansons z150 type hide and not full comp weight. Also no bulky leather gun pocket which is great on the bike but a bit much for regular wear. Same thick heavy duty top grain, but a lot of the underside flesh/pulp is skived off.

Killer jacket.

I sometimes wish I would have gone w/o gun pockets in my chopper. Great to carry everything I carry on long rides but it does visually impact fit for regular wear.
