I found these vintage British Walkers thrifting this week. They'd only been one a couple of times. I've already put more wear on them after two wearings than they had when I found them. Look at those all leather soles. Anybody have any idea of their vintage? I figured 1960s probably, maybe '50s.

A few British Walkers have been hitting the 'Bay since anselmo brought them to our attention.

Here is a nice pair of spectators that brought a good price due to their size.

Nope. [Actually, yup. Sorry about my error.]

Back in the day, some shoe manufacturers would dye their overstock brown or burgundy shoes black. [This is true.]

Unfortunately, there's no way to undo their handiwork. [Wrong. Mea culpa.]

I hate to contradict Marc (whom I hold in the highest regard), but I must.


A competent cobbler can remove any color from shoe leather and re-dye to any other color.
