Your CSC made aviator showed up in black and in mint condition in Japan with a Wards label. My size too. Just a cool $6k!

Hello,

Samuel here, first time caller long time listener. I have just read through a lot of this thread and really why I am here. I wanted to share a few of the vintage jackets that are in daily rotation for my life, mostly being on and off my Panhead.

I would love some help with any type of identification who could have made this jacket. I do believe it to be horsehide, and I have worked through some repairs on it, but the lining and original label were already gone when it came to my hands.

And lastly, I have been looking for someone good to send my grandfather's old racing leather to be fixed up so my wife could wear it. Any help here would be appreciated. Both sleeves and the front zipper need to be repaired and the whole thing could use proper conditioning.

Your Passaic is great. Dena here @iknowleather can fix it up for you. I think she is also at greatleather.com.

LOL. You don’t see too many Buco with zip in liners. This thing was likely made in China and isn’t worth a single slice of Kraft American cheese.
And yet the leather is amazing compared with Taylor's and Windward ?
If this is Chinese made, then they've beaten the Yanks at their own game.....hell it feels like a LW or RMC (NZ) in terms of fit and stitch quality

It's similar enough to my jacket......though the LW I had was the Suburban.
I find the build quality of American jackets inferior to most European makers, both vintage and modern, and few come close to Japanese attention to detail.

But since most here are incredibly protective of the "Golden Age" of American leatherwear and tend to ridicule anything that isn't "original" to it, I'll stop feeding the trolls

If it's Chinese like someone else has said.......well the Yank companies should throw in the towel!
Talk about troll. That jacket is clearly cheap AF garbage. See below for American made. Compare these to the deli meat thin POS you posted.

VS this. Which is straight up trash:

I have my doubts this^ is even leather at all. If you put this above Lost Worlds it is you who are the troll. This piece of shit isn’t even 1/2 as good as the worst Hot Leathers $99 junk ass cross zip.

If it’s good, it’s good and has nothing to do with country of origin.

Regardless of where it was made, that “Buco” is mall quality at best. If you’ve had/seen/handled enough jackets you can easily tell from pictures.

Uhhh…Thedi is one of the most praised makers here and while definitely inspired by designs from the past there’s nothing really “original” to the “Golden Age” about their jackets.

Please take a look at the topic. There are lots of threads in FL talking about jackets from Europe to Pakistan to China. It has been pointed out to you and more importantly for the benefits of other readers that it is not a vintage original Buco or Trojan. Your use of both Buco and Trojan seems to me and probably others click baits and therefore our need to clarify again for the benefits of all in this particular thread.

The issue is that that jacket does not belong in this thread for the simplest reason. Unless you are the owner and wish to prove that it is a true vintage Buco or Trojan, your opinion of how well made it is still does not warrant a discussion in this thread. Please feel free to expand on your view in a different thread.
