That is an early one, most I have seen were 50s, this is 1939-41. This is the nicest I have seen and the earliest.
They also made this model with a Hercules label. Thanks! I've searched around a bit and I haven't found anything like it online.
Yup that's the exact same pocket layout. It's crazy how you keep track of all these jackets man. They also made this model with a Hercules label.
Here's another one owned by @MysteryoYup that's the exact same pocket layout. It's crazy how you keep track of all these jackets man.
Mine seems to be the same as Mysteryo's which doesn't seem to be the same as the Hercules besides the the pocket layout. The back has the Monarch center seam as well as french seams throughout the arms and back.

Do you own this Trojan? It's extremely nice, the same pattern as this one I found, and trying to get a repro made since the original is quite expensive. The one I posted has a big Crown zip while yours has Talon, also different lining, but the design is pretty much the same. Thanks for sharing, it also confirms for me the back is indeed action back, I thought it could be just two panels since the photos I found did not have them separated at all.
I saved these images for more reference materials for my repro, I hope you don't mind!
The best cross zip I've ever laid my eyes upon!
As he should, if I had one I'd be taking it to the grave. I've very rarely seen this design Trojan. No it’s not mine, it was found by a collector and it’s not for sale as you can imagine.
They also made this model with a Hercules label.

Is the leather panel on the interior hem a repair? The construction is slightly different to this other Trojan I have seen from Japan.

Seems much better than fully lined because I see many even durable linings fail at the hem.I'm not sure, but i've seen quite a few jackets from this era with leather inside the kidney belt area,
probably to avoid the lining wearing away from the belts etc.

Very interesting grain on this, reminds me of pig skin with the dispersed groups of pores.Sport Togs - Seattle Woolen Co
