California Label Ward's
I have that jacket with no label and too small. One of my favorites. If anyone sees one, has one in a size 42/44 let me know! I call it the Cat Eye.

Was wondering Terry if this MC jacket from LA via Japan ever came in and if it’s posted somewhere?? Any updates??What a New Year! Lots of Vintage threads are coming. I've got a Taubers coming in the mail tomorrow, complete with collar. I just love those original snap on collars. The pictures were OK, but not really sure how totally nice it is. Will see tomorrow and can compare to the auction pictures.
This jacket completely surprised me when it showed up. Listed with a decent BIN, but also offer. I made a good offer then waited..it had just been listed so I thought a quick reply would save me a few $. I soon realized I would be greatly disappointed if it got away, so I just paid the BIN! I've done this before. Needs some work, may even fit. No label. It is something more than it looks.

Two packages coming from Japan both made in California. A completely cool Vest from San Francisco c.1940.

A motorcyle jacket from Los Angeles, not Cal leather or California Sportswear. This jacket is so rare and in such excellent condition that I'm won't be sure it is not a reproduction until I get it in hand. Breathtaking. I am quite sure this jacket is in the Grail category for many here.
I know other nice Vintage jackets are coming in from others here.
I’ve got an older rough Penney’s Horse Hide with the “Made and Styled in California” labelThis MW label is also seen which looks very much like a Ralphs-Pugh label used in the early 50s.

Someone shared this one on Facebook in the Vintage Workwear group. Found in a New Mexico state.
Hey Terry, here’s what that label should look like.I have that jacket with no label and too small. One of my favorites. If anyone sees one, has one in a size 42/44 let me know! I call it the Cat Eye.

Perfect example of why true vintage pieces absolutely destroy, annihilate and obliterate anything made today. Painful to watch in a way. Because it won’t ever get that good again. Period.Thought I would start a series on my youtube channel. This one is jackets from the 1930s.
Today is a Goatskin Aviator jacket. Very light weight goat in excellent condition. Lining is also light weight. A popular style reflecting the romance with aviation into the late 1930s. Features the beautiful sunrise Talon zipper, triple marked. Traditional half-belt with side adjustments at the half-belt.

Really gorgeous jacket Terry! This is the Windward/Admiral Byrd 1930s Half-belt. Admiral Byrd label says Pony Hide. I have seen this exact jacket in brown. This has the early Montgomery Wards label on a cotton flannel lining. The addition of the Admiral Byrd label I can not explain. I have had Admiral Byrd jackets with no MW label, so I'm not sure what that means. If I could find this jacket in my size I would own it. This is my favorite style of front pockets.
