As we have noted before, you got a winner sign on your hands when you put a giant image of whatever it is you sell on the sign. Looks like the front of the grill is comprised of a bunch of light bulbs - that had to look awesome when lit and probably would have been hard to do with neon. But fortunately, plenty of neon in the rest of the sign.

Not particularly impressive for the neon, but I wonder if she's the girlfriend of you know who.:D View attachment 113556

Outstanding idea. How cute would the two of them look out on a date? Our buddy holding the door open until her pink tail is all-the-way through.

The two of them walking and laughing while they eat ice-cream cones that neither one is thinking about as they are so into each other. And his hesitation as he goes for a chaste but meaningful peck on her cheek as he says good night at her door.

And heck, if all eventually goes well, how easy would it be to combine the two family businesses - a gas station and motel - it's like it was written in the stars.

I could be wrong, but I bet Commissioner 2jakes, with his photo editing skills, could whip up a photo of the two of them on a date.

I don't know, I just found it on the web and posted it cause it looked fun. We have some FL members who will know, though, I bet.
I'm almost positively sure it is, because I've eaten at Lorito's many times...my brother lives in Ocala, and I've always loved that sign.

The reason I ask is because the sign has recently been restored, having been damaged during a recent hurricane, and the neon still works...I'll try to get some photos of it working.

Another reason I wanted to know, was that there used to be a Lorito's in Gainesville, Florida, which used the same design of sign...it, however, vanished mysteriously one weekend many years ago, and no one seems to know what became of it. The original owner of the Lorito's in Ocala has long since been dead, and no one currently there at the Ocala locale seems to know the history.
