While the number has been going down a bit, there are so many Irish pubs still in the city, that I could snap a pic like this one below - which I took yesterday - every day and not repeat for a year or more.

This is the thread I use for my denim jeans.

Oil & instructions which I found at thrift shop have come in handy when adjusting
the bobbin and things.

I have the Singer 1916 with the foot-pedal
but the “hand-crank” model, I can go at my
own speed easier.

Sandman Motel with A Chevy (or so) on top on US Route 40 (Reno, NV)

This is still out there on Route 66 (near Lebanon, Missouri).

The sign was copied from the Rest Haven sign in Springfield, Missouri.

Which was (most likely) copied from the Holiday Inn classic.

Though the pools have long gone, there's still some remnants of these motels
around in certain parts of the city which are mostly used by the "ladies of the evening”.

There is an old motel in Springfield, Illinois with the same sign as the Rest Haven Court above. I haven't been by there for a while and can't remember what it is called. I remember seeing others over the years. I'm sure most are gone now. I always thought the guy selling those signs probably had a line like "you can look just like that new Holiday Inn place."
