I'm guessing that much of this comes down to the fact that like so many other things to do with leather, there is a fair amount a variation from one batch to the next, and even from hide to hide for that matter.

Therefore the countless recommendations to first obtain swatches of available leathers before having a jacket constructed.

I think that HD is right about them changing the names. But it is very confusing when the leathers section lists tumbled brown and vintage black, and the drop down menu under the jackets has vintage black and vintage brown with no tumbled option. The leathers section doesn't list oil pull either, when Holly told me the other week that it's still available. It's still on the drop down menus too.

It would be nice to get some clarification from Holly.

I was under the impression some years ago that Vintage Brown referred to the color. My samples of Cherry, Cordovan and Vintage brown differ in color only.
