Fresh to market- vintage Cal Leather Horsehide CHP jacket. This is a recent flea market find, and in beautiful original vintage condition. The leather is super supple, and the lining is intact. Inside pocket. Just aged perfectly with some well earned minor scuffs and gentle wear over the years. All the zippers work. Earlier Talon main zip and early teardrop Talon zip on the exterior pocket. No label, but all the right Cal Leather indications – two snaps on the interior, no gussets and fur lining inside on the sleeves, typical hand stitching on the waistband, everything indicates that this is an earlier Cal Leather. About the only flaws I can find is right pocket zip is missing the teardrop pull. The chain is still there, but the pull is gone (see pic). And there's a dime size scratch/paint something on one of the sleeves near the elbow (see pic).
I’ve had several of these and the leather on this one is more supple and in better shape than the other ones I’ve owned. Super heavy and built to last a few more generations. I know I’m going to regret this but I already have another Cal Leather in the same style that fits me a little better than this one. No size label, but seems to fit like a size 44 or comfortable size 42.
