Fashion bible Vogue devotes 12 pages to her, turning her into a 21st century 1940s heroine, draped in diamonds and dressed in a delicate, hand painted tulle gown by Dolce & Gabbana.

Hmmn. I'll avoid expressing any ungentlemanly views with regards to Mrs Beckham, and simply say this: for whatever reason, she seems to have a big impact on a lot of people, with some women going to great legnths to look like her. If via this influence she adds to the revival of interests in forties styles and allow a lot of folks to discover the vintage look, then bravo. I wouldn't expect her to stick with it for any length of time, but that's another matter.

Well that's the best she's looked in a very long time.

But I still wish somebody would buy her a big roast dinner and a bag of cream buns.

Quite. Mrs Beckham is only one of many celebrities that appears to have bought into the "thin = beautiful" myth to a serious degree. Belsen Chic is the best term I can think of for it.

What I do not understand, having 3 children in the house, should entitle her to extra rations, so she must be doing something wrong to be that thin.

What she needs is a good piece of Wootton Pie.

Viva la Victoria!

As a PROUD Spice Girl fan, I love Victoria. Although she isn't my personal fashion icon, I adore this woman. I think she is beautiful and I love these photos of her. I can't wait to see the rest! I know she comes off as plastic and void of personality in photos, but if you ever catch her in interviews or on tv, she is actually very funny (she has a great sense of humour about herself), charming, and an incredible mother. I heart her!!

Oh yes they would. Wait for me when I become a celebrity. I'll look so good they'll have to accept it. ;)

Btw, guys, can we stop with the "she needs to eat more" stuff all the time?

I agree! While not a fan of The SG musically, I cannot honestly say that I disliked them, either. They were fun, and we need that sometimes. As to Mrs. Beckham personally, I think she looks absolutely stunning 8 times out of 10. While not everyone will always like WHAT she is wearing, at least she always looks like she is concerned with her appearance, as opposed to 80% of Hollywood actors who go about in sweats and flip-flops... She cares what she looks like in public all the time, and I applaud her for that!
EDIT: And the Vogue photos are gorgeous!

That is so true. Like you said, even if it isn't your style, she is almost always put together.

I just feel very sorry for her. She seems utterly miserable all the time and if you ever see her filmed, it's painfully obvious that she is constantly, completely paranoid of how she appears. She is always presenting a 'face' and is never relaxed or natural. Just the way she holds herself, speaks, poses, turned to present her 'best' angle. It's so fake. Money can't buy you happiness. I would never want her fame and the problems that go with it.

oh i tottaly agree, she is a big icon, but she never seems happy.
I'm not a great becks fan, but we have a lot of customers in our salon who love her looks, so we do a lot of her hairdo's

Fair enough, but the woman hasn't an ounce of flesh on her!!!

That's just absurd.

She's really not very skinny. Given the Spice Girls tour she's just been on, she's likely to have been working out a lot, but still, not scary skinny at all. I don't understand the spite towards slim people.

Other than that, just a non-entity, frankly. Semi-talented married super-talented, had some babies = tabloid mania.
