Here's some photos of my brown Model F, which is nicely broken in. I don't mind the chest pockets, but I don't think I'd miss them if they were omitted.

Yeah, I bet it is comet-like. I think in that size the back is a tad longer, say around 23.5. Still a short mofo.

Absolutely, according to their old chart, it has 23.5 in size 44, same as comet.

That's what I thought. I have an excel spreadsheet that I keep on my phone that details all of my jackets' measurements. In case I am away from home and the opportunity to purchase a jacket rolls into my life. I had the 44 comet at 23.5/24.

Gotta have a drop front for me if it's that high and tight in back...
No drop-- around 21 in front. I rarely wear it. Mostly if I am going on long ride. I sometimes wear it to go out but need to match shirt and jeans carefully. None of my real low rise jeans and dark jeans and shirts, that sorta thing.

Yeah that's a perfect length for seated on the bike zipped up all day. Other than that...bit tough to pull off.

i think my Hardcore Highwayman is the new stuff. Not quite as thick feeling as my older comp. weight jackets but still a rugged, heavy, armor feeling beast. I rather like it, bit more grainy too.

I know, but I am more interesting to see how the leather develop over the time.
I think I am going to keep the Enfield as a support of Vanson, and I will keep purchase their jacket in the future.

Man that's the comp weight I know and love. Smooth as glass and stiff as wrought iron. Takes years to soften. I dunno. I haven't felt the new stuff so I suppose I can't really say. But based solely on appearance. I'll take this^^

Mike told me after they gage the leather the result shows it's the same thickness.
He told me he's going to test the leather with heat to see the reaction.
