Dang that really is a nice brown!! Just the right amount of red in it. Black too. I had no idea this jacket switched hands. LOL.

Found one! At first, I didn't make the connection. I was looking through the ads when I found an Enfield that looked unusual. Although the size was too big (44), I was attracted because the seller had another black one for sale, size 40 (which is my size in Vanson). Out of curiosity, and since he lived not too far away, I went there to try the jackets. Weirdly enough, the brown HH didn't fit much differently than the other Enfield in size 40. The owner told me he had bought it even though it was too big because he knew it was rare and he would never find another such opportunity. Then he had it altered to fit his size, which I think consisted in taking a few inches off the PtP. Anyway, I bought it.
The leather looks pretty much like the brown Horween CXL Aero uses, maybe a bit darker. I was wondering what it was, and started searching for information when this thread showed up. I had followed it before, but didn't remember it.
So here I am, sharing my find with a few pics. Please excuse the poor quality, my usual camera seems to be dying.

Fantastic! And it was my suspicion all along the leather on these is actually Horween CX. At least some variant of it but it looks so similar to the Aero's CXL. In any case, fantastic looking jacket.

It's interesting that both these HH versions have a nicer collar shape than the traditional comp cow versions. I wonder if they changed the design at some point? The collar on the most Enfield's looks peter pan-ish. These have a better spread and points.
It's always been my complaint about this jacket....this collar is just far too conservative, if that's the right word:

It wasn't cheap, but the price was fair. The seller asked the same price for his other Enfield that was in as new condition.

True: probably because of the thickness of the comp hide, the collar usually stands up before going back down (if that makes sense), thus making it look even smaller than it is (plus, the model has the zip all the way up). Maybe the HH is more supple and allows the collar to remain flat, but I think the shape and size are the same.

I don't know. You and Guppy seem to have a collar more like the model F, with more defined points, where the on the Enfield, typically the collar seems more rounded at the points. Here's the F:

You must be right, there's a slight difference, but still, I think the hide , and the way it behaves, has its importance .
