Vanson alterations

I have an xl Vanson perforated Drifter that I’d like to have tailored for a better fit. Their sizing for these jackets has pretty big gaps - a large is a US 46, their XL is a US 50. Unfortunately, I’m a US 48. The jacket billows and pushes into my chin a little when I’m on my motorcycle.

I’d like to send it back to Vanson to have the work done. Has anyone used them to something similar and if so, how did it turn out? I imagine that they’ll do the best job with the alteration since they originally made it, but I want to ensure that the jacket will look “stock” afterwards before spending the money.
