Does anyone know the actual specifications of utility clothing for the ladies, back in the 40s?

I'm interested in putting together a mini utility wardrobe (of separates mostly), and I could use the help.

No ideas at all? Like how many buttons, pleats etc?

Isn't there a document with all the regulations? I thought there was but I can't seem to find it. Maybe I dreamt it [huh]

No you didn't dream it renaissancemedici!

The "Making of Civilian Clothing (Restriction Order)" was passed in 1942 & dresses could have no more than 2 pockets, 5 buttons, 6 seams in a skirt, 2 inverted or box pleats or 4 knife pleats, and no more than 4 metres of stitching. No unnecessary decoration was allowed.
