Paid $305. Will sell for $200.
This hat is deep moss green with a diamond bash. Size 7 5/8.
Doesn't suit my head. Simple as that.

All Art's hats are 100% beaver. I have 2 and if this were in my size I would go for it. Love the color and that's his signature ribbon treatment.

The question would be if this is his lightweight felt, or the dress felt. I have the lightweight felt. This one looks more like the dress weight or more standard felt. The hat's can also be easily rebashed.

It's not often I get top say this, but... Dang It! It's too big! :rage:

I would love that hat, but given that Art's hats don't shrink too often, I'd be afraid to take the chance.

Somebody give it a good home!

If I didn't have a new bluegrass green Stylemaster, I'd be tempted, too. Though a 3-inch brim might be too much for me, too.

Great looking hat, though.

Crown height

The crown height, open, is 5 1/2.
Bashed, I'm guessing 4 3/4 in front, 3 3/4 in back. A diamond bash does that.

Actually, looking at it. . .

I think I'll keep it.
A hundred dollars is too much of a hit to take on a new hat.
Sorry for the trouble, folks.

Good point. . .

But the warm weather is here, and it's time to put the felt away anyway, and who knows? Maybe I'll like it better in the fall.

Well, if you don't like it come winter, try eBay. Just put a high starting bid, or set a reserve, to cover yourself. A fine hat like that may fetch a good price at the right time of year. Say, in November...
