Unfortunate Exchange With USWings/Cooper Jacket Mfr

I politely asked USWings for a 2' x 2' swatch of polycotton brown lining A-2 material and offered to pay for it. I also asked for suggestions for an alternate supplier of desired item.

Their latest response was: "US Wings ® Inc is a supplier to the United States Military and we not supply [sic] products."

I don't think I'll be considering any "NEW" USWings/Cooper items in the future. Their version of modern USN NWO jacket (an A N-J-3, in Black Cowhide) was nice, but cheaper from other gov't vendors--considerably cheaper for identical item. I returned it.

While they offer "product support" on their site, it seems that their "customer" support is lacking.

FWIW, and IMHO, USWings/Cooper A-2s are well-made garments, with very decent materials and workmanship, so no gripe there on my part.

I can supply entire chain of e-mails but will be laborious due to deletion of personally identifying info. Just take my word for it on quoted comment above, please. I was rather shocked at their dismissive attitude throughout the e-mail exchanges.
.
Submitted for consideration.

The current stuff doesn't look very good to me, the fits look way oversized.
My early 90's orange label Cooper A2 fits pretty good and I am more than happy with the quality, but I also got it for around $150 shipped on Ebay ( might have been less).
I don't think I'd spend the money on a current US Wings Cooper unless there were no other lower cost American made alternatives and the older stuff wasn't so affordable on ebay.

Concur with your remarks concerning earlier/used items. Both my USWings/Cooper A-2 jackets have same orange label, and bought on e-bay for very decent prices, much lower than current prices from same mfr.
