Art is still working today... when asked about the stone used for this ring (I purchased it at auction) he said that it was sold to him as Blue Wind - a small mine in Lander Counter, Nevada. The ring is quite large and heavy but I'm enjoying wearing it.
Was in Santa Fe last week. Picked up this cuff from Rodey Lee Guerro (Navajo/Dine) on the Portal of the Palace of the Governors on the Plaza.
I was also gifted this bolo from the daughter of the late companion of the late wildlife photographer E.P. Haddon. He wore this exclusively during the last twenty years of his almost 100-year life. I'm very honored to have it.
The artist was Vidal Aragon (Santo Domingo) who passed away ealier this year.
Here is a forged and beautifully stamped cuff by Mark Chee (1914-1981) made somewhere in the middle of the twentieth century. The style references the stamped cuffs that were popular during the tourist era (example below), though Chee's interpretation is four times the weight and cost.
