Looking forward to seeing the new hat - as you know, I'm a big fan of Tony's work and have a couple of my own :)

Yes...it is the way to go....this will be a wide ribbon fedora....something a bit more "gangster" looking......but with all the refined magic that Mr. Tonyb puts in to his hats. More to come when he is actually working on it,....as I just sent the deposit and I am sure he already has work waiting to be done as it is.

I suppose I should throw my hat into the ring and harmonize with those who sing Tony's praises!! Deep rich Black Cherry (looks eggplant-ish in natural light) burgundy triple-bow, Tall crown with an interesting/unique bash. Yessuh!! :eusa_clap

As you can tell, this is one amazing example of many...the magic creativity of what work comes from Tony.

OMG!!!! I have been waiting for a hat to arrive.....and the wait is almost over now.....and just in time as well. I wanted to have Tony make a hat for my Husband, something very different, custom looking but also something to capture the old school vintage look. Something that would "work" with the suits and sportscoats that are silver or grey sharkskin and that would work with the double breasted 1930's-1940's look. So I decided to have a wide ribbon hat made. I spent hours seeking some vintage ribbon for the hat, both for the ribbon and bow, and then for the edge binding. Well, the ribbon and bow grosgrain I purchased was super nice stuff, but too wide! BUT..the ribbon I purchased for the edge brim binding was just right. I should have the hat here in a day or so.....and just in time as it is Daniel's birthday this weekend. This makes hat TWO from Tony. As soon as it is here, I will post some decent pictures and you csn see what makes this one a bit different.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a hat from Tony. I like his approach to hats. Tall crown hats reminiscent of the hats in the era I grew up in. Art is another maker I admire as well. Yes I'm that old!! Best of luck.

If this needs a name, I think Daniel would call it "studebaker"!!! Nice tall no taper crown, triple bow, wide ribbon, and I shopped for the edge binding and came up with some lemon yellow vintage ribbon from the 1930's, it sort of gives this hat a vintage look and a little bit different then other hats. Tony not only did a great job on this hat, he did a masterful job! This was exactly what I wanted and my Husband is all smiles....will get some head shots later. THANK YOU TONY!

Very nice indeed - both of the Tumwater hats you've gotten for Daniel have been stunners.

Great work Tony, as we've come to expect from you!

I agree - not only does Tony make very nice hats, he is a super person as well.

Our family is doing well, thank you.

After the worst start to the year imaginable, our family is holding together and we are looking forward to the future.
