The Bailey Borsalino were a disaster and stil are cause they still maek half that stuff with the bailey label in it. The only Bailey fur that I see move consistently at least here is the Gentry. The stingy pork pie they have out is a nice hat too and it pretty unique amongst the major brangs. I do have to say however that the move of putting the permanent pins on all their hats and caps is a ridiculous move on their part. They were ready to cancel our whole cap order because we didnt want the pins on them.

Thats like comparing apples and oranges. This is a custom made hat with a custom felt body made only for Aaron in a 50% beaver and 50% hare. This hat has been soaked and no taper or shrinking.

This is not your everyday Bailey its a custom ...Enough said...

Roger , if Aaron is selling the hat and his customers are happy, then that's all that matters . His reputation will stand behind the product . From what I know of him and his store , thats good enough for me.

The Biltmore I recently bought had a wildly crooked ribbon, a cardboard-like "leather" sweatband, and stiff felt. My Akubra cost less, and has none of these problems. So I think, never again for me.

The one thing I don't like about vintage hats is (with rare exception) the limited color selection. I'd love to see some modern hats in classic style and quality, but in a wider range of colors, like blues, greens and even lavenders.

That is one thing I love about modern hats, the fabulous colors. I'm still drooling over Weegee's red stingy from Art. If I could find a forest green diamond crown with a 1 1/2" brim, I'd be a very happy man. (I know, I know. . .Art)
