I have two lovely vintage sweaters that came very cheaply but also came with a very strong mothball odor. I have no outdoor space, so I hung them in the bathroom and febreezed the heck out of them. I thought that did the trick, but when I wore them my body heat brought out the smell again.
Ultimately I had to hang them outside for two weeks in order to get (most of) the smell out.
Any tricks you ladies have picked up for removing the smell?
