This is really the best idea! Nothing beats in-person shopping & try-on's.Schott makes several models of cross-zip or perfecto jackets in cowhide that are not heavy or bulky. If you are close enough to visit a store in person it is really fun to see all the jackets in person and try them on.
Something else to consider, Schott is pretty well known on many of their Made in US products to fit a standard poly-fill "quilted" lining in many of their motorcycle-design Perfecto jackets. It's usually fixed and not removable. This alone, much more than the outer shell leather used, will quickly restrict the jacket's useful range to just the cooler months. I find with most of my jackets to prefer not to have it at all, and just layer a little if needed, as I can tend to run a bit warm.
It's difficult to tell with the photos you posted of the two models you the OP are considering, but I would check closely for lining materials before making the order. This again would be easily found & experienced if you go in-person to a store.
