I really like the look of wool vests with leather pocket trim, and I'm thinking about adding leather trim to this Schaefer cattle baron that came in the other day.
With the way the pockets are kind of framed, I think it would be extremely easy for me to just saddle stitch a strip of leather over the pocket hems on this one.
I am thinking something in a medium tobacco brown color, a glove leather would probably be ideal.
So what do you think, would you try it ?
I really don't think sending this vest to a professional is really necessary, I figure I could probably knock it out in half an hour.
If I mess up, I'll bet the holes wouldn't even be noticeable and if I really mess up the vest I barely payed $50, shipped for it.
