Three Hat People caps, six Akubra hats, a Winston Fedora purchased from a Lounge member, a bespoke Fedora made by one of our venerated hatters, and a Sunbody straw hat. Yeah, I'd say The Lounge was a bit of an influence in those purchases.

Both my son and I have bought custom shirts from NattyShirts.com. Me not as much, but my son is over 6'-6" with a 39" sleeve, a very tough guy to fit. (I still WEIGH more than he does, though!) The fit from Natty is ALWAYS SPOT ON for him, and the prices are among the best I know of anywhere, even for an off-the-rack, ready-made shirt. Normally starting at $29.99, they often have sales starting lower than that. If there is a better value for custom made men's shirt today, I'd like to know...

And I've bought hats from hatters and retailers.

What have I bought because of FL? Darn, a lot of stuff. All of my Akubras, many of my Stetsons, most of my Panamas. My custom Falcon Park OR clone. My horsehide raider jacket, all of my vintage service station jackets, my Prison Blues denim jacket, all of my pea coats.

And probably more stuff that I've forgotten.

But it could be worse. Every time I fall in love with something that I've seen on the Acoustic Guitar Forum, it costs me two grand.

Once I overcome my cheapness, I am going to buy a pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers in HAWTHORNE MULESKINNER LEATHER (shown below) that I first saw in the "Show Us Your Work Boot" thread.

Do I need them - absolutely not - but I am going to buy them because of FL. Thank God I'm basically cheap or this site would bankrupt me.

After the movie Australia came out, intrigued by the man's fedora Nicole Kidman wears during the trail drive, I started searching and wound up here. After reading many posts, I bought a carbon grey Fed IV from Australia, and then a second one in Moonstone.

Other things I bought because I saw or read about them here?

Vintage hats, esp. the Royal De Luxe Stetson OR/Strat and the ca. 1938 Borsalino, purchased here
Customs from Art Fawcett, Falcon Park, and Mike Miller of Northwest Hats
Allen Edmonds shoes
A leather Wested Raiders jacket
A pair of fine condition Alden shoes
Kangaroo leather wallet and belt
Hat stretcher
Ca. 1962 Gillette adjustable razor and Taylor of Old Bond Street shaving cream

Possibly more once I finish reading this thread.

NattyShirts has a long spear-point collar shirt called "The Savvy Journalist" -- and they label it as a Fedora Lounge Exclusive!

OMG! I didn't know that, Paul, thank you! Can't wait to tell my son, so to legitimize the Lounge (somewhat) in his jaded twenty-something eyes.

They left off the "a" on Fedora, though...

My life literally is what it is because of this place.
The first thing I bought because of the Lounge (though I started at Club Obiwan, as most everyone here did at that time), was an open crown Akubra from Hats Direct. Then there was the Merkur safety razor I still use every day, along with a bunch of shaving soaps and creams. Then the hunt for vintage menswear, which I had admired but passed over because broke when it was plentiful at Goodwill during the college years, several vintage hats and a couple from Art Fawcett, leather jackets, J. Peterman stuff, tableware patterns, vintage appliances, safari stuff, etc.
The main thing I got from this place was a large group of men and women who were just as whackadoodle about all this as me, which was a blessing and a curse. Being here fed into long-dormant interests in everything to do with the Era. I realized I had traded everything that was me for a life in which I didn't fit and playing a role as someone else's enabler no one would want to play. Then a beautiful, relentlessly charming woman I met here turned my life upside down, which was inevitable, but stressful as all get out. The highest highs and the lowest lows. In many ways, the last 14 or so years of my life have played out as they have as a result of the fateful decision to join this forum, which is still pretty much the only one I frequent.

You guys have cost me a fortune! Here I was, a Senior Citizen, fading into old memories when I discovered this forum.
I decided at least I can LOOK sharp, even if I'm limited in other ways.
First, a FEDORA( since it IS the Fedora lounge!!
Bought a couple of vintage BORSALINOS. And a whole slew of AKUBRAS. Then couple of PANAMAS. Got rave admiration from others. Well, then I had to have a leather jacket.
Next was a used AeroRusset Horsehide (from a forum member) then a custom VS Fawcett Fedora to match, from forum member.
Pants were BILLS KHAKIS. BOOTS Were REDWING IRON RANGERS.
Then came variations on a theme:
VANSON ENFIELD from forum member
SCHOTT 641
SCHOTT Highwayman
Aero Highwayman
FRYE BOOTS (several pair)
COACH GLOVES for EACH jacket
3 BARBOUR JACKETS. (INTERNATIONAL, BEAUFORT,
SILK SCARVES to go with EACH jacket.
And in the end I ALWAYS look MARVELOUS.
THANKS FOR THE FUN ADVENTURE, FORUM BUDS!

Oh dear Floey this is a dangerous thread topic, my wife might actually see this list.
Whilst I have never actually bought anything in the classifieds there has been much to inspire both my wife and I. Before The Lounge I didn't have an Aloha shirt collection to speak of, nor twenty two inch baggy trousers, both of which my wife enjoyed making. She is now busy putting the material and pattern together to make me a pair of summer, high waisted trousers, in white, to wear with this blazer. The shoes and hat are in the pipeline.
