That young man resembles Jeremy Corbyn, a tad wouldn't you say? And the beard. But too pensive and reflective
and intelligent such facial countenance, tends to dispense illegitimate conjecture or any sin of supposition as to any
possibility of a Corbyn paternity. Bit of excessive cheek and all a bit much but just proletariat musing from this
side of the pond.

I’m only in my mid-50s but I’m old enough to remember a time when there were strong working class communities with a sense of social solidarity and a tradition of self-help and education: clubs, choirs, evening classes, further education colleges associated with trade unions - and although I am not religious I acknowledge the important role of churches as a positive force in working class life.

Now, with deindustrialisation and the decline of public education - along with a ‘me first’ mentality - we have a very large lumpen class that is narrowly selfish and racist: the type of people who (as I think I said on another thread) put ‘patriotic’ flags on their white vans but throw litter out of the window as they drive.

Statist or populism, or neither, disparate groups armed with agenda of one sort or another proclaiming
whatever suits their purpose have become all too common currency across the spectrum ad nauseam.
Its seemingly spread like marmalade over crackers and toast, when all that's really needed for breakfast is
a small spoon of honey and Kentucky bourbon wrought from corn mash.
