I'm currently building this ~6ft R/C model of the Titanic. It's almost done, just needs a few more small details and the rigging lines. I took it out on the lake for the first time last Wednesday for its "sea trials".
This is 1/152 scale, where 2mm = 1 scale foot. The exact length is 5' 9.5" from bow to stern. If you're familiar with model railroading this would be considered 'N' scale.
After the model is completely finished I will record a video of the maiden voyage with period background music from one of my 1910s gramophone records. I plan on renting a rowboat so I can follow it across the lake and get different camera angles.
But unlike the real Titanic this one won't sink... I hope!
