The STETSON WAY, Advertising and ephemera of the Golden Era

I recently obtained a mid 1950s Playboy, so I then went out and found a nice condition advert to frame and hang in the house ... that's it down between the front and garage doors. [emoji57]

Wow. What a great collection. I don't think I've ever seen such a wide-ranging and chronological collection of hat ephemera. I have a coffee table book on Stetson and it doesn't have a fraction of the material you present here. It's interesting how the ads add context and have the ability to pull you back into another era. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much! I have actually been working on properly archiving my collection and actually placing my Stetson collection chronologically in binders.

I wish I had the ability to do the same with this thread so people could referance the time of each ad better.........I have that ability on other forums....even with the contributions of others in the same thread.......

And YES.......the ads and their art certainly put you back in time..........

I assume you have a good handle on the best practices for archival storage of print ads Matt. I work in an archive at Oregon State and can point you in the right direction for Archival Supplies if needed. This is history! The collection deserves the best care and preservation possible.
