Sort of like fathers taking their sons to prostitutes to get some "experience"?
No, I was thinking more like how a student pilot takes his or her first few flights with an instructor-pilot, a coach if you will. Get your mind outta that gutter, Miss B lol--and I wasn't even thinking about getting to that stage, must be some kind of hormone-deficiency...:eek:lol

Bogie is Bogie, I'd have jumped on Bacall's chance myself.

Don't try this at home, guys, unless you are ALSO Humphery Bogart! lol

Well, let's see--I'm now three years older than my mother was at time of my birth, and she tends to snark about "that 40-year-old virgin movie's probably going to be how he goes" to others, prompting a from me every time...

moms are so great...aren't they?

ergh, mine just openly begs for grandkids. way to be subtle.

Well, I've been finding that the more intelligent a woman is, the more she goes for an older man. They just don't seem to connect to the men of their age group, or so they tell me. ;)

Exactly, Giacomo. :eusa_clap

(Oh, and I'm not in my 40's.:D )

Eh. When I was 20 I liked older men. When I was 25--not so much.

I don't think so--it's actually kind of liberating having my reproductive system subordinate to my central nervous system, rather than the vice versa of many hormonally-overcharged (specifically testosterone) males today...lol

Whaaaaaat weeeee haaaaave heeeeaaah......is.....a.....failure to communicate.:D

Responding to Miss Brill's suggestion of Vitamin E for apparent hormone deficiency there, Linc.

Besides, in "the field", be it urban or battle, I need to remain the aloof, logical tactician and can't have the eyes wandering to every skirt I see. Especially if I should ever gain a "significant other" and be in her company, as at that point my first responsibility, indeed the reason for my entire existence, is to be alert for possible threats to her and be ready to respond to them.

When I was 27 I though guys in their 40s were old. [huh]

Some girls my age like the older gents. My range is generally 29 - 39ish. Boys younger than me are just that, babies and they act like it too. Most don't even want to date someone seriously. For me it's not the age so much as what I personally find attractive. Someone in his late 40s to 50s is probably not going to be stylishly dressed AND have some amazing tattoos (read not military or prison tattoos) among other weird things I like. I also find it harder (for me because I am an odd duck) to relate to someone in their 40s and 50s (I have different interests and most people my age haven't heard of some of the stuff I like). I had a girl friend who was in her 40s and I couldn't relate to her at all and we weren't even dating! To be fair she didn't understand most of what I was talking about either. However, if someone like Geoffrey Rush or Jeff Goldblum or Johnny Depp approached me for my hand, I'd drop everything. ;)

Gosh, I think that is what goes through my dog's mind. I can't go in the bathroom without him.
You know what they say, "loyal as a puppy" and all that...lol (Although I'm not that extreme--out on a date, I'd probably just keep an eye on the approaches to the powder-room door until she came back out, then watch for would-be "interceptors" as she returned to the table.)
