It looks nice and it has a felted Cavanagh edge. I bet it’s a fine hat.

Found my last hat - famous last words!
Since then four have found their way home with me...
It appears that what I've been chasing has been a hat from the 1940s but I kept getting suckered into buying 1950s/1960s hats because the camera angles were so deceptive; they'd show up and be little tiny jobs that would go with skinny ties and Brylcream hair cuts. What I was looking for was a cross between a top hat and a homburg.
Stay tuned, got a box coming my way.

Well, if you let them cross breed, they usually produce coachman's hats. If you do have a litter & there's one with big ears, he's for me.

Something tells me I'm going to fill up a very large, walk in cedar closet with floor to ceiling shelves full of hats for my Estate to dispose of.
