I picked up this beautiful Knox Excellent homburg last year from Brent @deadlyhandsome (TFL Enabler of the Year, 2019, 2020, 2022). I think it is dark blue...but it could be black 
This one is soft, indeed I'll even say very soft or even super soft. Anywhere I grab, the felt just crushes under my fingers. The 2 inch brim holds its shape but is so flexible I have to use both hands to take it off. This hat is 5 inches creased with a 2 inch ribbon, a 2 inch curled brim and a 2 inch sweatband with an embossed Knox logo and an Ovalized Sixteens size tag.
If all that is not special enough, the brim binding is made of felt rather than the more typical grosgrain...which makes it difficult to photograph. The threads on the sweat were breaking, so I sent it to Mike at Northwest Hats for repairs. He initially thought the binding was cloth but upon inspection found it is, indeed, felt. He then thought perhaps the binding was a remnant from another hat but quickly discounted that theory as well because the binding is so thin. Another hat mystery, perhaps.
Not bad for a $7.50 hat!
