I 'm going to go back and look they had some Panama OR's but I was so excited about the Royal I jumped as fast as I could . It was less than my 6X SB OR , plus I had a discount from a Strat I bought . Winner ! Thanks again !

I believe they are out of the Stetson OR Panama (for good) and they recommend the DelMonico Stockman. I can attest to it as a fine alternative. I wore mine today.

I did trim the tails of the ribbon back about an inch after I took this picture.

After mentioning I was looking at vintage OR's to acquire, the wife surprises me with a brand new Stetson OR for Fathers Day! So, as you understand, I'll be wearing it. It's not vintage, but good looking none the less and I'm very thankful.

Question. I can snap down the front a little making it flat, but when I stand out in the heat for a while, it pops back up.

Can I put steam on it and form it to stay down flat in the front?

Cap , you can actually snap it down without using steam , pretty sure . Just snap it and run you fingers along the Brim , once you get about half way , or so , it should stay down . Not really Flat , though , but not Gangstered Out (Really Down) either .

Here's Chamuco's up and down , like I was talking about ...

I've tried to flatten the brim out a little in the front but not make it snapped down on my new OR. This is how is it now.

The back flipped up more. Not sure if I like it or not yet.

Looks Great Cap ! My LO Head , I think , makes mine Taco on the sides . The Royal Quality made it yesterday ! WOW ! No Comparison to my 6X OR , its soft like a Dress Hat ought to be . I'd get every color if my size was available , SB wasn't , so I bought a Caribou . Nice gray , being color blind it could be a nice green to me , but it fits ! True to size .

Cap you look like a RR Man straight out of the 30s-40s , Great Job !

I have DelMonico block my hats Long Oval and it takes care of the "taco-ing".
True, the Royal felt feels more dressy and the 6X feels more durable. I treat mine a little differently too.

Thank you! I'll have to look into the reblocking. That would probably help a lot.

Thanks Bob. I'm going to keep it like this and see if I want to stay with it. It more less done it on its own when I flattened the front. Ha. But I like it better than with the front snapped down.

Wlcm. Mines not truly "snapped down" either. It sorta just sits there like it should.
