I know its not an OR, but, I went into Paris Hatters yesterday and saw the Roadmaster...gorgeous hat, but, wrong size! 100% natural beaver. If my head was bigger, it would have been mine!

GT--Delmonico has them, but, the smallest they have is 71/8...too big for my size 7 head. I'm open to suggestion regarding other stores..

BTW, The Roadmaster is natural beaver color, not 100% natural beaver fur felt...I couldn't afford one if it was....

The brim may be a tad narrow but I'd go for a silverbelly Premiere Stratoliner before buying a current production OR.
I have a Roadmaster which is identical except for color of an OR. JMHO

I agree with gtdean. Go with a Premiere Stratoliner and shape it however you like it. I have a modern OR that I never wear.

Hey gang. So I've got this Stetson 3X, I think from the early 60's.
It looks stylistically just like my early 60's Open Road. This one says XXX Stetson in the front of the sweat where my Open Road says Open Road. The brim on this one is a skosh wider at 2 13/16. Did Stetson make Open Road models unmarked or is this a different model altogether?
