Now that's one thread I can contribute to :( !!
Look at all this stuff that I couldn't get for being extremely financially challenged at the moment - the worst bit is that apart from the first dress the other things weren't even expensive!

I saw this hat too, but I wasn't sure about the horse tail, I could imagine being whip lashed in the cheeks if there was a breeze.;)

It's a beautiful hat and has a terrific shape and structure, I hope that you find another soon. You have such a cute face that I'm sure you'd suit just about any hat shape.

I loved this hat base but I can make one for a lot less than this went for. I can make a hole hat for a lot less.

I was watching that too. How did you learn to make hats?

There are a lot of repro hat books on ebay. I have It's Fun To Make A Hat by Helen Garnell and another I can't recall the name of. I have a utility hat block but if your creative you can improvise. For that particular hat base, I'm thinking all I need is to cut a circle of buckram, a circle of wool felt and lining fabric. And for the back 19" millinry wire covered with wool felt. I haven't tried it yet so I don't know if it will turn out.

I was looking at this hat too, but decided I already bought to many. Glad I didn't get it I saved $122!!! Incredible how high ebay items are going now! You have to spend at least $100 or over for items. Use to be an average of $50 4 years ago.
