Hi all,
I’m hoping to get some help identifying and valuing a leather jacket I own.
The jacket was made by The Few MFG (New Zealand). From what I understand, The Few has historically been closely associated with RMNZ / Real McCoy’s New Zealand, possibly sharing manufacturing roots or facilities, though I’m happy to be corrected on the specifics.
Stylistically, the jacket doesn’t fit neatly into the more commonly seen grizzly jacket patterns, despite the use of hair-on hide (cow?) on the front and back panels. Any comparison to grizzly jackets is purely my own point of reference rather than something I’ve seen stated elsewhere.
I don’t have much concrete information on the original inspiration. The only close visual match I’ve been able to find is a single jacket claimed to be an original 1930s “The Texan” by Sport Togs. Aside from that, I haven’t come across other documented examples of this exact design.
The jacket is size 38 and in good used condition with normal wear.
I’d greatly appreciate any insight regarding:
Many thanks in advance, all input very welcome.

I’d greatly appreciate any insight regarding:
- The Few MFG’s place relative to RMNZ / Real McCoy’s
- Whether anyone recognizes the specific design or original model
- Typical market value for a piece like this
Many thanks in advance, all input very welcome.
